Carbon structural steel round bars come in various standards such as American, Japanese, German, and European.

American Standards:

- AISI 1018 is a low carbon steel with good machinability and weldability. Widely used in mechanical manufacturing, auto parts, and building structures. Chemically, it has a relatively low carbon content around 0.18%, manganese content between 0.60% - 0.90%, and also contains small amounts of silicon, phosphorus, sulfur and other elements.

- AISI 1045 is a medium carbon steel with relatively high strength and hardness, as well as good toughness and wear resistance. Commonly used in making mechanical parts, tools, molds and so on. It has a carbon content between 0.42% - 0.50%, manganese content between 0.60% - 0.90%, chromium content not exceeding 0.25%, nickel content not exceeding 0.25%, and low contents of phosphorus and sulfur.

Japanese Standards:

- S45C is a high-quality carbon structural steel according to Japanese standards, corresponding to American 1045 and German C45. It has high strength and good cutting performance, suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts, molds, shafts and the like. The carbon content is around 0.42% - 0.48%, silicon content is between 0.15% - 0.35%, manganese content is between 0.60% - 0.90%, and the contents of phosphorus and sulfur are not more than 0.03%.

- SWRCH18A is a low carbon steel, often used in manufacturing fasteners such as bolts, nuts, and screws, as well as some small mechanical parts. Its chemical composition has a relatively low carbon content, generally between 0.15% - 0.20%, and manganese content is around 0.60% - 0.90%.

- SWCH20K is also a low carbon steel with good cold working performance and weldability, suitable for manufacturing various cold heading parts such as rivets and pins.

German Standards:

- C45 is similar to Japanese S45C and American 1045. It is a medium carbon steel. Used for manufacturing mechanical parts that require certain strength and toughness, such as gears, shafts, connecting rods and so on. The carbon content is between 0.42% - 0.50%, manganese content is between 0.50% - 0.80%, silicon content is between 0.17% - 0.37%, and the contents of chromium, nickel, phosphorus, sulfur and other elements also have corresponding limits.

European Standards:

- C45E is a carbon structural steel of European standards. It is relatively close to German C45 in chemical composition and performance, but there may be slight differences in some specific element contents and performance indicators. Also suitable for fields such as mechanical manufacturing and engineering structures.

- S235JR is an ordinary carbon structural steel with good weldability and plasticity, widely used in engineering structures such as buildings, bridges, and ships. Its yield strength is not less than 235 MPa. The carbon content is between 0.14% - 0.22%, and the manganese content is around 0.30% - 0.65%.
